Solutions
Four pillars that cover the technology side of a real business.
Digital Solutions, Cyber Services, Managed Services, Data & AI. The same engineering bench that builds our SaaS brings it to owner-operated businesses across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and the UK.

Pillar 01
Digital Solutions
Custom software, built and supported by the people who shipped it.
When the off-the-shelf doesn't fit, we build the missing piece. Custom web apps, internal tools, online ordering, booking systems and integrations, all on the same modern stack we ship our own SaaS into production with every day. No outsourced contractors. The same engineer designs it, ships it and supports it.
Challenges we hear
Workflow held together with spreadsheets
Five tools that don't talk to each other and a sheet on a shared drive that everyone is afraid to break. We replace it with a small, focused web app that does the job properly.
An off-the-shelf product that almost fits
Most SaaS is 80% right and 20% wrong for your business. We integrate, automate around it, or build the missing 20% so the system fits the work, not the other way round.
Internal tools nobody owns
Bespoke admin tools written by a contractor four years ago, undocumented, slow, and one outage from being lost. We rebuild them properly, with a hand-over your team can actually maintain.
What's included
- Discovery and scoping with a written, fixed-price quote
- Built on Next.js + Postgres + the modern toolchain we use ourselves
- Designed in your brand, accessible by default
- Deployed on a managed cloud (Vercel, Supabase) with no server admin overhead
- Source code handed over; no lock-in
- Optional retainer for ongoing maintenance and feature work

Pillar 02
Cyber Services
The basics, done properly. Stops most of what's going to hit you.
We don't run a 24/7 SOC and we won't pretend to. What we do is the practical security baseline that most owner-operated businesses are still missing. Cyber Essentials prep and certification. MFA on every account. Defender for Business. Conditional Access. Backup verification. A documented response if something does go wrong.
Challenges we hear
Insurance, grants and tenders increasingly require certification
Cyber Essentials is now a hard requirement for most cyber insurance policies and a soft requirement for public-sector contracts. We'll get you ready and walk you through the IASME assessment.
Multi-factor auth still isn't on every account
Compromised credentials are the entry point in most modern breaches. We roll out MFA on email, M365, accounting, banking and admin accounts. All of them, not just the ones people remember.
Backups exist but nobody has tested a restore
An untested backup is a hope, not a control. We add third-party backup for M365 / Google Workspace, server / NAS backup, and a quarterly restore drill so you know it actually works.
What's included
- Cyber Essentials gap analysis, remediation and IASME assessment
- MFA + Conditional Access rollout across all critical accounts
- Microsoft Defender for Business setup and tuning
- Backup + restore drill for M365, Google Workspace and on-prem
- Password manager rollout for the team (1Password or Bitwarden)
- Documented incident response runbook tailored to your stack

Pillar 03
Managed Services
Per-seat IT support so your team can focus on the work.
Per-user, per-month managed IT for owner-operated businesses. WhatsApp and email helpdesk, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration, patching, antivirus, MFA maintenance, and a monthly health report you actually read. Direct debit, plain-English contract, no minimum-term lock-in.
Challenges we hear
Help isn't there when you need it most
Things break on Friday afternoons. We answer same-day on WhatsApp during work hours and triage urgent stuff first. No ticket queue you've never heard from again.
Opaque pricing and surprise invoices
The reason you don't know what your IT support actually costs is that someone is making more if you don't. Our pricing is per seat, per month, on a published page. No surprises.
Off-the-shelf contracts that don't fit a small team
Enterprise managed-IT contracts assume 200+ users. We're built for the 5–50 user team. Three tiers, you pick the one that fits, change tier when you grow.
What's included
- Helpdesk via WhatsApp and email during work hours
- Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration
- Patching, antivirus and Defender management
- MFA enforcement and monitoring
- Monthly health report with an honest summary
- Quarterly strategy call to keep your stack pointed at your goals

Pillar 04
Data & AI
Live KPIs your team checks. AI assistants that earn their keep.
Most small businesses already have enough data to run themselves better. It just lives in five places: the till, the bank, the accounting product, the CRM, the booking platform. We pull it together into dashboards your team actually opens. And where it makes sense, we add a custom AI assistant trained on your own knowledge so first-line questions get answered without involving a human.
Challenges we hear
Numbers live in five places and never tie up
Sales in the till, settlements at the payment processor, balances at the bank, invoices in the accounting product. We connect them so the picture is one number, not five guesses.
Reports get built once, then nobody opens them
Most BI projects ship a beautiful dashboard then quietly die. Ours stay alive because we work with the team that uses them, ship a small first version fast, and tune from there.
AI feels like noise, not value
ChatGPT in a browser doesn't help your business. A purpose-built assistant trained on your SOPs, your menu, your FAQs and your knowledge base does. We build that and you own the conversation.
What's included
- Power BI, Looker Studio or custom dashboards (your call)
- Connectors for QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe, SumUp, GoCardless, your CRM and POS
- KPI design with the people who'll actually use the numbers
- Custom AI assistant (Claude or GPT) trained on your knowledge
- Privacy-respecting deployment, so your data stays your data
- Optional embedding in your customer-facing site or staff app
Lodat
Three products.
One conversation.
